CrossFit Power Rankings based on the results of the 2021 and 2020 Seasons
CrossFit HQ also gave out of continent athletes the option to compete in an event closer to their physical location. The result of this decision by HQ was that the representation of athletes by continent changed from the planned numbers.
I was listening to the Get With the Programming Podcast where the discussed the programming of the 2021 CrossFit Quarterfinals when Bill Grundler said, “I would love to have seen the programming for the CrossFit Quarterfinals used as Stage 1 of the 2020 CrossFit Games”. This got me thinking, I wonder how last years games athletes did compared to each other in the Quarterfinals.
With a new CrossFit season upon us, and a new format, we wanted to see how difficult it was to advance to each of the different stages.
Teenage Athletes made splash in the 2021 CrossFit Open. Emma Cary set a world record for 21.2 at 8:51. Emma Cary and Mallory O’Brien both finished in the top 5 overall (3rd and 5th respectively), and this made us want to dig into past seasons and the mens field to see if this is a usual occurrence.
